Selecting metallic powders is a vital consideration in Additive Manufacturing. Metallic powders can be manufactured by many processes, but only a limited number can produce powders specifically designed for meeting the requirements of the various additive manufacturing (AM) technologies. In this context, we will present Tekna's atomization technology allowing the production of high-quality powders for metal AM.
We will then present Tekna's powder reconditioning processes by RF plasma, allowing the transformation of out-of-spec recycled AM powders (feedstock) into high quality in-spec powders (end product), thus extending the service life of AM powders. Tekna's technologies related to metal powder processing actually provide valuable contributions to a circular economy.
