Highly spherical powders with exceptionally high yield

TEKSPHERO systems are engineered to transform irregular powders from a wide range of materials into highly spherical particles. From small-scale R&D trials to large-scale production operations, every particle passing through the plasma is completely melted and solidified in-flight under tightly controlled, contamination-free conditions. This results in state-of-the-art powders ideally suited for the most demanding powder metallurgy applications like additive manufacturing.


Tekna’s powder spheroidization process is compatible with powders produced by a variety of processes, including milling, water or gas atomization, chemical reduction (sponge), and spray drying. Because the process does not involve particle breaking, the final particle size distribution is predetermined by appropriately preparing the feedstock. This leads to exceptionally high material utilization, with powder yields routinely exceeding 90%.

Each TEKSPHERO system is designed and manufactured at Tekna’s facility, which allows us to offer tailor-made solutions that meet the specific requirements of our customers, while guaranteeing total control over each stage of manufacturing.
