Tekna offers customized plasma powder treatment service for processing customer’s powder in small or large quantities. In this service, customers provide their powders and the treatments are performed at Tekna’s facilities by a team of highly qualified engineers and technicians. The plasma treated powders are then packaged and sent back to customers. Tekna’s plasma powder treatment service is available for powder densification, spheroidization, and purification. Almost any types of metal and ceramic powders from a few microns to a few hundred microns can be treated. Treatments are performed by induction plasma in controlled atmosphere. Processing conditions are fine tuned to meet customers’ technical specifications and quality requirements. Processing equipments are prepared with the maximum care possible in order to guarantee high purity products. Each lot of treated powder is returned to customers along with a detailed report which summarizes the key information such as the mass balance and the products properties. Chemical and physical analyses are done on site in Tekna’s characterization lab for quick feedback using commercially accepted analysis methods and equipments.
