Extremely hard and dense, Tekna’s Spherical Cast Tungsten Carbide powder, an eutectic mixture of WC and W2C phases, is within the most wear resistant products on the market. Commonly blended with nickel based alloys, it is perfect for hardfacing applications by PTA, laser cladding and other processes for use in applications where wear protection is needed, such as mining, oil drilling and agriculture.
Various size fractions are available from 44um (325 mesh) to 420um (40 mesh). Our standard SWC grades are the followings:

Size fraction can also be customized to meet customer’s technical criteria for specific application.
Typical order quantity is one metric ton (1000kg or 2200lbs). The powder is delivered in 4 metal drums of 250kg (550lbs) each. Each order comes with a Material Test Certificate reporting the properties of the powder.
